Charlie and Taryn’s wedding at The Orting Manor in Seattle, Washington, was pure magic. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, the day was blessed with the most beautiful weather and a setting that felt both classic and timeless. The manor’s charm made everything feel elegant, and the live string quartet during their ceremony added such a romantic touch.
The celebration actually kicked off the night before with the dreamiest rehearsal dinner. Picture this… catered Italian food by the pool, gorgeous flowers everywhere, and Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald playing in the background. The soft lighting made it feel so romantic, and the custom treats celebrating Charlie and Taryn were the sweetest touch. It was an all-white party… even us vendors were in white… and Taryn’s lace gown looked like something straight out of a royal runway.
One of my favorite moments on the wedding day was when the new Mr. and Mrs. stepped onto the balcony, greeted with cheers from everyone below… it was such a movie moment. The black-tie dress code (with every single guest wearing black) gave the day the most stunning, editorial vibe, and every detail came together seamlessly. Their gallery, with a mix of digital and film photos, really ties all those emotions and memories together in such a special way.
And then came the party of the century. From nonstop dancing and laughter to the surprise finale… Charlie and Taryn jumping into the pool instead of a traditional send-off! The night was unforgettable. Guests weren’t exaggerating when they called it the royal wedding and party of the century. Move over, Taylor Swift… the royal wedding already happened, and it was everything.
Words can’t fully express how grateful we are to have had Melissa by our side on our wedding day—not only as our photographer, but as my friend. I knew from the moment we got engaged that I could trust Melissa to capture our day and love so beautifully. Every photo taken was so authentic, emotional, and full of life. She took the time to understand what was important to us—what we cared about most, what we were nervous about, and what kind of energy we wanted our photos to reflect and she really delivered all of that and MORE. And although we have only seen a sneak peek of the photos, I already know they will be incredible! These photos will be treasured in our hearts for the rest of our lives and I can't recommend Melissa enough! We are so lucky to know you, and even luckier to have had you document this chapter of our story. We love you lots!

authentic, emotional, and full of life
We decided to get married in Cancun and there was no one else we would have wanted to come and take pictures of our big day and party with us. We had the best week ever and having the best photographer is just the cherry on top. We love Mel and are so grateful for her. I've looked through our gallery several times already and I could cry. I love our photos and I felt like I was right back in Mexico with my best friends marrying the man of my dreams.
